A.W.Rule & Son Gun Makers Ltd are please to offer this Best DBHE 12b Holland & Holland Royal Single Selective Trigger side by side ejector shotgun for sale.
With original makers 28″ barrels, chambered for 2 1/2″ cartridges and choked 1/2 x 3/4. Barrels engraved with makers name and address of 98 New Bond St. London. Made Circa 1888. Proofed at .729` and having only had 0.003` of wear since manufactured, this gun is in remarkable mechanical condition for its age.
The gun will be sold with a bespoke new replacement stock and forend wood. Crafted to new measurements using exhibition grade Turkish air dried walnut, chosen by the new owner from our available stock. A new 18crt Gold oval will be made & fitted, engraved with owners initials or family crest. Best London hand oil finished wood.
The action and all working parts will be fully serviced, tightened for grip, sides including forend iron. The barrels will be prepared and Best London re-blacked.
The gun will be offered for sale with a new Single leather gun case, made to measure new stock. Including outer canvas cover, initialled leather fobs to match.
