DBHE AD 12 bore Westley Richards ” Drop Lock ” Side by Side ejector shotgun for sale.

We welcome another old friend back to the fold… This exceptional 1924 Westley Richards Drop Lock side by side shotgun, built for H.F.A.Kinsman Esq has returned to us to be offered for sale on a commission basis. Having maintained and worked on this shotgun for over 20 years, it gives us great pleasure to find it a new home.

Having restocked it ourselves in 2006 with a tasteful, period correct Turkish walnut and having serviced it annually since, this beautiful example of Westley Richards drop lock mechanical system, combined with a single selective trigger, 2 3/4″ chambers and Teague multichokes, This really does make this English Game gun very desirable for today`s modern shooter.

Westley Richards replacement 28″ Dovetail barrels made in 1961 with Doll`s head extension, 2 3/4″ – 70mm chambers and Birmingham Nitro Proofed 0.729. In 2016 the gun was submitted to Teague by ourselves for the following multichokes to be made & fitted: 5 x long flush chokes, 1/4 x 1/2 x 1/2 x 3/4 x 3/4 inc choke key & case.

Auto Safety return with SAFE in gold, Scroll back action with fine scroll engraving. Westley Richards in banner. Hinged floor plate. Selective single trigger switch by trigger blade. Gold stock oval. Stock length of 14 5/8 over leather covered recoil pad. Original forend wood with undersnap release catch and horn tip. The chequering remains sharp and the wood work is in over all very good condition.
