Master Gun stock maker Gareth Rule from A W Rule and Son Gunmakers was delighted to attend the prestigious 2022 World Gunmakers’ Evening, which was hosted at Honourable Artillery Company in central London.
Joining a host of other well-known country lifestyle brands, the World Gunmakers’ Evening brings together contemporaries and like-minded craftsmen and women to celebrate the history and heritage of gunmaking.
The team from A W Rule and Son were honoured to meet friends and clients alongside world-class names such as James Purdey and Sons, Holland and Holland, Bill Blacker barrel maker, the J M Browning Collection, AyA, Rizzini, John Dickson & Son, E J Churchill, William Evans Gun and Rifle Makers and more. They took time to view guns on behalf of their clients that were on display prior to the upcoming Holts Auction, sampled the delights from one of the evening sponsors; The Whiskey Partners and were tempted by the new Ineos Grenadier rugged off road vehicles that were proudly on display.
Prior to the event, the A W Rule and Son team had the pleasure of enjoying an in depth tour of The London Proof House in Aldgate. The London Proofhouse is the home of the Gunmakers Company Charitable Trust, which provides assistance for training gunmakers and advancement of the art and technology of gunmaking and related trades. The team were given a bespoke tour of the facilities with the Proof Master and discussed some very interesting ideas in the future with the Worshipful Company of Gun Makers and the Livery Company.
